Despacito the song of Puerto Rican singer Luis Fonsi with Daddy Yankee was released in the year 2017. It became the number streaming music of that moment within just six months. This mix of reggaeton and pop music not only brought an interest to the genre, but as well to Latin music in general. In 2015 there were two mostly songs with Spanish lyrics on the Billboard Top 100 and in 2016 there were four. The Despacito album reached its peak popularity in 2017 19 songs mostly composed in Spanish were in the top 100. It climbed to 41 in 2020. After Justin Bieber's remix in two languages to Despacito (2017) popular artists soon began collaborating with reggaeton musicians, such as Drake along with Bad Bunny on MIA (2018) as well as Madonna with Maluma for Medellin (2019). A few performers of reggaeton have criticized the shift to mainstream music in 2020. A new group, Rauw Alejandro was determined to keep the evolution and development of reggaeton. The musician incorporated electronic dance music and other genres into his songs.
