Jessica resigned from the television series 7th Heaven in season six. Her fame was instantly boosted by her exceptional acting skills as teenager Casey Jackson in Ulee's Gold. Her role in this film won her the award of being the best supporting actress in a youth film. Summer Catch, her comedy film, showcases her impressive acting talents. Her movie Rules of Attraction did not achieve much success despite her outstanding performance. The performance she gave in The Texas Chainshaw Massacre, an horror film was noticed by the general public. She's also been in suspenseful movies and proven herself to be an actress.
