Awkwafina

Awkwafina started out as an American rapper and singer, performing sly tunes that dealt with issues such as racial and sexual identity with a comedic twist. In the years before she stepped into Hollywood the singer had the opportunity to release a number of songs. Born Nora Lum to Chinese and Korean immigrant parents within Forest Hills Queens her first encounter with the world of music was through the trumpet. After classical and Jazz training, she delved into hip-hop when she was an teen. Concentrating on school she studied journalism as well as women's studies in college even studying Mandarin in Beijing for a time. She didn't start focusing on music until the time she completed her degree. Her song My Vag, a response track to Mickey Avalon's My Dick gained viral popularity through the Internet in 2012. It was eventually included in the album debut Yellow Ranger released in 2014. On the album, there were other viral hits including Queef (body-positive) as well as NYC Bitche$1. The last track was closely linked to Awkwafina's NYC travel guide released in the year 2015. Following a career that was successful as a performer She decided to take on the role of an actor. In addition to early series, such Girl Code and Tawk - she appeared in movies Neighbors 2 Storks and Bad Rap. In the year 2018, she was offered a series of notable parts, including Dude Ocean 8 and Crazy Rich Asians. She released the EP, In Fina We Trust in June of that year.
